Toowong Private Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of day treatment services. These services enable patients to attend a program during the day and then return to their home or organised accommodation at the conclusion of each day’s session. Our specialist Day Program team prides itself on its outstanding level of care and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our day patients and their families.


Our programs for day patients include:

Entry to our programs is through referral from a person's treating psychiatrist or
General Practitioner. Entry is based on a person's clinical assessment,
including their willingness and capacity to participate.


Toowong Private Hospital is located at 496 Milton Road, Toowong. Our day programs are run from the lower level of the hospital. The best entry is from Cadell Street which runs parallel to Milton Road.


There are limited two-hour parking spaces available in the Toowong Private
Hospital Cadell Street car park. However, additional parking is available in
Cadell Street and the surrounding streets.

Our Day Program staff can organise travel for Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Gold and White Card holders to attend assessments and programs. Accommodation can be arranged in local motels for eligible DVA card holders that live outside of the Greater Brisbane Area.


For assessments, we ask that you bring any relevant reports you may have.

Partners are encouraged to attend Military Service Trauma Recovery Program assessments and Employment-Related Trauma Recovery Program assessments.

An exercise component is an important part of the Military Service Trauma Recovery Program, Employment-Related Trauma Recovery  Program, Military Service Alcohol Day Treatment Program, and the  Veterans’ Physical Health and Lifestyle Programs. If there is any reason, medically or otherwise, the exercise component is unsuitable, this can be discussed with the course coordinator. Showers and towels are available at Toowong Private Hospital for patient use; however, a change of clothes should be brought.


Toowong Private Hospital provides the pens, paper and manuals that are
needed for participation in our day programs. We also provide morning tea and
lunch to participants, and we make light refreshments such as tea, coffee, fruit
juice and biscuits available throughout the day.
