PLEASE NOTE: There is no right hand turn from Milton Road into the Hospital or Croydon Street. If you are coming from the western suburbs it is advisable to use Moggill Road > Jephson Street > Croydon Street > Cadell Street.

Toowong Private Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of day treatment services. These services enable patients to attend a program during the day and then return to their accommodation at the conclusion of each day's session. Our specialist program team prides itself on its outstanding level of care and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our day patients and their families.

OUR PROGRAM

Our programs for day patients include:

Entry to our programs is through referral from a person's treating psychiatrist or General Practitioner. Entry is based on a person's clinical assessment, including their willingness and capacity to participate.

FINDING US

Toowong Private Hospital is located at 496 Milton Road, Toowong. Our day programs are offered from the lower level of the hospital. The best entry is from Cadell Street which runs parallel to Milton Road.

CAR PARKING AND DVA TRANSPORT

There are limited two-hour parking spaces available in the Toowong Private Hospital Cadell Street car park. However, additional parking is available in Cadell Street and the surrounding streets.

Our staff can organise travel for Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Gold and White Card holders to attend assessments and programs.

WHAT TO BRING

For assessments, we ask that you bring any relevant reports you may have.

Partners are encouraged to attend Military Service PTSD Program assessments and PTSD Day Treatment Program assessments.
An exercise component is an important part of the Military Service PTSD Program assessment, PTSD Day Treatment Program, Military Service Drug and Alcohol Program, and Comprehensive Lifestyle Programs (if there is any reason, medically or otherwise, the exercise component is unsuitable, this can be discussed with the course coordinator). Showers and towels are available at Toowong Private Hospital for patient use; however, a change of clothes can be brought if required.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Toowong Private Hospital provides the pens, paper and manuals that are needed for participation in our day programs. We also provide morning tea and lunch to participants, and we make light refreshments such as tea, coffee, fruit juice and biscuits available throughout the day.
